I was talking to a friend over lunch and as it is so wont to do, life was being mega hectic. We were then talking about her karate and how she'd be a black belt next year (wow!). And she said that that was her go to place. Doing that sport really draws her in the moment and helps her mind go beyond the trouble.
And that is the same with mediation, dancing, music or whatever else it is you enjoy that helps you transcend.
Your mind is a powerful tool, whizzing around 24/7, so it really serves you to have it be a pleasant place. If you've ever been in a horrible situation that you can't get out of your head, you'll know how things can just go round and round in your brain. Not pleasant!
Search round for whatever gets you in the flow- that psychological state where you are connected, in the groove. Where life is good and you get sucked into the power of focus.
And there are infinite ways to do this- for some, it's creativity, it's physical and sporting pursuits, others really enjoy their work. It matters not the specifics. Only that you're focused and feeling good.
As you spend more time in this good feeling space, you will be able to shift your internal process to be more effective and powerful. And of course, you'll be drawing more good stuff to you!
