Today we have arrived in Vietnam, I've been told it is a wonderfully beautiful country and we have 4 stops here, so let's hope so lol!
Our first stop is Ho Chi Minh City aka Saigon. I'm still a wee bit run down from Bangkok so I have chosen to rest today and have a relaxing time. I had a tour booked today but really wasn't looking forward to the 2+ hour drive each way to the city. So it definitely felt downstream and taking the path of least resistance to chillax and do nowt today. I heard a few comments (not directed at me but in general conversation) such as 'It'd be a waste to miss the stop as you'll never know if you're coming back and you've flown across the world to be here', 'The excursion has already been paid for' etc...
But these are all shortage consciousness- focused on lack. You must make your decisions on what is best for you and what you feel is right. Most other people would drag themselves on the tour as they had already paid for it or they didn't want to 'miss out,' but I for sure ain't most people! And for me, it isn't as wildly important for me to sightsee as it is to be fully well- I definitely want to be refreshed and fully well when I get back to life in the UK!
This reminds me of my Psychology degree and a decision making phenomenon I studied called 'Sunk-Loss theory.' If memory serves me right, this posits that people tend to make choices based on what they've invested in the past and not what would serve them best in the future- which doesn't really make sense in absolute terms, i.e. just because you've spent X amount of money/time/energy in the past pursuing one course of action, you should continue to follow this because of all you've already invested, even if it looks like another choice may be better.
For example- the fallacious (oooh that sounds like a rudey word! Lol) belief held by a gambler that just because they've lost £10,000 on a lot of past roulette spins, that they will keep having 'just one more spin!' Cos they know that 'It's their time to have a win.' This is also reminiscent of the Monte Carlo roulette debacle- I think (though don't quite me on it) that the ball landed on either Red or Black 40+ consecutive times and people kept betting more and more on the colour that hadn't come up, causing the casino to clean many of them out!
I think that this theorem ties in quite nicely with Law Of Attraction. Your point of power is now, make your decisions on what feels good, not factoring in what other people think or how much 'loss' could be incurred. Instead knowing from an abundant state of mind that you are ever expanding, there is no regression, only abundance, well being and perfection lie ahead. And things are ALWAYS working out for you no matter what.
I have already had the most wonderful morning. I listened to Louise Hay's 'How To Love Yourself' (amazing talk she did back in the day!), Abraham's Canary Cruise 2014 lectures. I am now off to have a luxurious delicious lunch, whilst watching my current fave sitcom 'Hot In Cleveland,' and maybe Cloud Atlas movie (love that 3 hour masterpiece!) and I've been able to spend ages on this blog! I feel rebooted and ready for my tours in the next few days!
Happy self deciding!!!
All my love, Nick Xxx
