What you do here is just take one step, any step, in the direction of your goal.
What this does is help free up some resistance towards what you want to work towards. Sometimes we can hold our goals in lofty, non-next-logical-step place, they consequently feel too big and that makes it nigh impossible to bring into your experience.
What this technique does is put you on the path. Odds are, you'll do that thing and hopefully be inspired to take the next step, then the next and before you know it, bam! You'll be closer than you realise.
I believe it was the author of the magnificent book-cum-magnificent movie 'Cloud Atlas' who recounted along the lines of- 'I couldn't write a whole book, but I can write a paragraph... Then a chapter, which became many chapters' and thus eventually became a number 1 best selling book!
I was due to go out in the evening but I was feeling a bit lazy and for me, once I get indoors I tend to not feel like going out again. But I wanted to make the most of the opportunity, so I just thought to myself 'Ok, I'll just go and step inside, I don't have to stay long and I leave when I want.' This is a really great tool especially for us introverts! Make a small commitment and once you've completed it, you can be done with it. As it turns out, I stayed out for ages and it was fun!
So try it! You never know what it will lead to, how quick it will bring you to what you want and how much fun you could have!!!
All is fun!!!
Happy step-ping!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
