Ok, so it's Friday and for a lot of you, a chance to wind down over the weekend!
If you're at all familiar with this work, then you know we encourage you to do the positive thinking/feeling work. The lists of positive aspects, visualisations, focus wheels etc
There is another way to get into alignment and allow in what you want. That is distraction- doing something you find enjoyable to help stop the resistance to what you want.
The analogy I give is: you are waiting by your phone for a boyfriend/girlfriend/job etc to call. And the minute you step away to go pee- the phone rings. It's that removal of negative attention which then allows in what you want to happen!
So, I thought I'd post some stuff which you can do, with the intention of feeling good! Some of you might do these regularly, some you may love, others you may hate. These are just some personal suggestions. Just have fun this weekend!!! Allow your negative attention to release and let your vibration naturally rise! Xxx
- Dancing. Not everyone's cup of tea and if you feel awkward doing it, then maybe this isn't for you. But there is little else more wonderful than playing some of your fave music and allowing it to flow through you and be expressed in movement. Great for the body, great for the soul!
- Eating. Use this to enjoy and not to bring you into alignment (ie comfort eating). Sit down and enjoy a deliciously prepared meal. My friend Maria did a chocolate meditation. Get one square of chocolate and just rest it in your mouth. Let it melt naturally and not bite through it. Enjoy the sensation!
- Movies. I love being engrossed in a good movie. When I get the time to sit down and literally drink in every word being said in the film- I just love it! Whatever floats your boat. I watched World War Z (a zombie movie no less!) and the amount of alignment I had straight afterward was amazing!!! This is because I allowed my attention to be focused on this rather than things that were annoying me at the time.
- Computer games. There are few things which really bring you into the moment than a fun computer game. I love the Dance Central games on Xbox- the choreography and music is so well done!
- Shopping (window or otherwise!). Like eating, don't use this to get into alignment but enjoy it whilst in alignment.
- Sports, exercise etc. Again, being physical really draws you into the moment!
These are just few of many techniques you can deliberately apply to get you into a good feeling space! Mix and match whatever floats your boat. No one gets to choose!
