I am very refreshed! Yesterday was a fantastic day of self and self. I listened to more Abraham and 'meditated' over the magnificent movie Cloud Atlas. For me at least, meditation doesn't necessarily have to be sitting cross legged in silence (or with music), breathing and letting go of all thought. I like to think that whenever your mind and body and spirit are aligned and purely focused on something (either neutral or positive in nature), you are releasing all resistance by letting your mind and vibrational cork float up to who you really are.
I adore the ridiculous intricacy of Cloud Atlas (the film by The Wachowskis and Tom Twyker)- it is 6 stories across 6 time periods in history and how the actions of one can send ripples across time and space and how relationships are eternal- with the same actors playing different parts in the different time frames to represent the same soul. Anyhoo, in addition to having my most favourite soundtrack EVER, it is incredibly complex so you really have to pay attention to every word being said. It really is a form of meditation for me.
A number of people in my groups don't find meditation very easy. I'd say keep on working on that as it is a powerful tool, but also look for opportunities to do wonderful activities which draw you into the moment. Art, music, sport, cookery- whatever floats your boat. It's hard to be worried about something like your partner bugging you and to not be fully focused in the moment, when you're in charge of a football and being chased across the field by 10+ people! So work out what works for you- as always, that is our message!
Today was in Nha Trang and I walked around for a bit (after being accosted by taxi drivers and what not). And bumped into more wonderful people, one of them was a librarian and the other did clay sculpture- absolutely amazing work from his pics. I am just appreciating the constant diversity and fantastic people I am meeting.
I followed them and we ended up walking around the local streets, seeing the natives in their own environment. We saw the villagers fish for sea urchin and the small shops and amusement places. Amazing- Facebook has made its way into the lives of the young over here! The children are so adorable- reminds me of my nephew back at home.
I do appreciate the contrast of being here and the life we have in the west. Some of the houses we saw, were quite literally in the sea (or at least just a few steps away), just held in up by wooden bits. I would imagine a huge wave could easily wipe it out with one hard slap of nature's hand!
Anyhoo, do your best to enjoy your beingness whenever you are, whatever you're doing.
Happy meditating!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx

Today we have arrived in Vietnam, I've been told it is a wonderfully beautiful country and we have 4 stops here, so let's hope so lol! The final day in Bangkok was spent seeing the last major sights we could fit it in our limited time here. I know it's something that we talk about often but it does deserve a re-mention! To appreciate your now not only brings you more of what you want (by the very nature of Law Of Attraction) but also, it keeps you in a good space so that when it does happen, you can appreciate it all the more! And that is worth everything. I am having such a wonderful time and so many things are unfolding in perfect perfection (many of which I identify as from my Vortex) that I forget to appreciate and find some things I want improving and/or forget how wonderful it all is going! Now, you will always be looking towards the next and the best as life will continue to pull you forward. And also, when things happen in your life, hopefully you'll be so up to speed, it makes you think 'Oh but of course!' What we call the 'next logical step.' But it is so crucial to check in with yourself and congratulate yourself on your wonderfully you're doing. Yesterday was spent being taken round Bangkok (minus the hours in traffic!), it is quite an amazing place. What strikes me most about Asia (or the places I've seen thus far), is the incredible amount of respect there is for the leaders. Yesterday, they were preparing for the Princess' '5th Round' (1 Round = 12 years, therefore 60 years), the ceremony work to get everything ready was amazing. Also, when the pivotal Lee Kuan Yew whole helped build Singapore to a great nation, passed recently, there were queues of up to EIGHT HOURS, for people to pay their respects- people were encouraged to not visit as there were so many! Incredible! I do wonder if that would ever happen in the West... (If it hasn't already!). Anyhoo, today is my last day of sightseeing in Bangkok. Then onto Vietnam!!! Happy appreciating!!! Lots of love, Nick Xxx Today was spent on the island of Koh Samui. I had a day tour taking me to the major sights of the lovely island. Now this is a case of do what I say and not what I do (as often as I should!) lol. For real though, I think it's so incredibly important to pat yourself on the back for all you do. Especially stuff you take for granted. In my groups I meet so many people doing so many wonderful things which I could never do but that they don't think is that big a deal. Take nursing for example- I wouldn't have the ability to do something like that- it's such an amazing job which is so care focused, truly magnificent! Being in a foreign land, not really knowing anyone (or at least to the level that I do when back home), I am more aware of interacting with people. |
