I was listening to one of Abe's slightly older lectures and they weren't allowing anyone to bring any issues to them during one of the segments. Instead they would only accept high flying rampages of appreciation from whoever was chosen to be in the hot seat.
This went on for a wee while, and then when the segment ended, Abraham commented that is sort of got a little flat, and from my listeners perspective it felt a little dry and not overly satisfying.
This is because too much of anything can be a bit drab. If your life was always contrast and a bit poo, that would not feel good. Conversely, if things went your way each time, every time you would quickly get bored. If you were a decent chess player and every single game you played was at the level of a 2 year old and you won without trying, you would soon start looking for other challenges.
You came to this planet to mix it up, to expand beyond what you thought was possible, to close the gap.
That is the most satisfying thing, creating a desire, then working to close it. Then when you've done this, another wish crops up and you work towards that.
Such is the nature of life! Have fun with it, knowing you never get it wrong and you cannot get it done!
