I was watching a quick piece on BBC Iplayer about David Guetta in Ibiza. They were taking him back to his old haunts and getting him to reminisce about what it was like when he first started out in that magical place.
He was reflecting about his raving nights there. He funnily named one of them 'F*** me I'm famous!' This was rather tongue in cheek as he was nowhere near famous then, but as life would have it- he has since became one of the most famous music DJ/Producers of all time!
Anyways, as he was walking through what is now some of the busiest, well known clubs. He reflected that back in the day when he started, it was nothing like that! It was just some people raving, joined together by their love of partying and music. He kept on saying 'We did it for the love!' There was never big money involved in any of that when he was beginning his career.
But now, by following his bliss. His club nights always sell out, he has shifted millions and millions of records and fook him... he's famous!
So try to incorporate more and more of what you truly love in your life. Whatever passion that is, do it because you love it. What would you do for free? What would you do if you had all the time and money in the world? And do some self care and do more!!!
All is well!
Happy Ibiza-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx

At the core of everything you want, is the fact that you think in the having of it, you will feel better. But, if you can flip it, and make your goal feeling better before you get your stuff, then now we're talking! So my week in Scotland and Newcastle was an absolute blast. Had the greatest time. Not ever having been to any of these places before I like to find out as much as I can before I go. It just makes good sense to me! So I googled, oogled and asked as many people as I could about what to expect. Some of what I read and heard was spot on and other bits I didn't really agree with. Wolfgang Munchau from the FT recounts the story of 'Before The Law' by Franz Kafka. He tells the story of a gentlemen who was outside a courtroom seeking entrance. He stands outside the door wanting to walk in, but is told by whomever that whilst it's possible in principle, it's not a good time at the moment. I was chatting to a friend and we were just talking about the holiday she had saved for- the trip was quite a way away but because she had been squirrelling a bit at a time, before ya knew it, it had been paid off already! Looking back over my life, I have to say that although I was a very fearful child and teen (defo less so since reading 'Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway' by Susan Jeffers). I haven't let too much stand in my way- least of all myself! Usually, not always, I've just gone out and done whatever I've wanted (despite many warnings from my parents to the contrary!). I've always done my best to data gather though- tremendous introvert that I am. I always like to know as much as I can before entering into a situation. |
