For the most part, Marcus won the battle but the science really made him sit up and think about how a different perspective could impact his cheffing.
They also had little experiments in between, which they would run on unsuspecting members of public.
One which stood out for me was the ice cream one. The science man ran a taste test on some red coloured, strawberry flavoured ice cream, of which, everyone guessed correctly. But interestingly when he changed the colour of it (but kept the flavour exactly the same!), he got a huge variety of answers. Even when he tried it himself, his brain overrode what he knew- when the strawberry dessert was coloured differently.
How interesting! Even when you think you know what's in front of you, other things are taking over to vie for your attention and interfering with your detection senses.
It highlighted to me how the same thing applies to our perception of what we deem to be our reality. We become so convinced of what we believe is our truth, that we become locked in, when in fact, our reality is totally up for grabs and changeable.
The question to ask yourself is 'Do I want this belief to create my life?' Great stuff by Louise Hay! If you have a belief that supports what you want to live, then give it your attention. It not, then know you can change it and nothing is fixed. It all just depends on the flavour you love!
All is well!!!
Happy ice cream-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
