We all were brought up with certain beliefs and patterns of being. Some of which may work for us really well in the present, others may have no place here in the now.
If something is working for you, then keep going. If things aren't quite as you'd like, then change it- try the opposite of what you've been doing.
For example, if you've been getting into arguments with workmates, and your typical response is to shout back and you're not getting the outcome you'd like, then pause. Instead of automatically reacting like that, take a breath and evaluate what the person has to say. Go quiet and reflect or reply in a calm mature manner.
Change can be met with resistance but keep at it. If it eventually leads to positive results then great. If not, maybe re-evaluate!
