I was pottering about with friends and we passed a funfair and there was one of those things where the kid straps themselves in and jumps up and down on a trampoline type base. There was this adorable kid and he was doing double and triple somersault thingys in the air!
It got me thinking how fearless most of us start off as kids, unafraid to go on wild rides and explore our surroundings. And it is only when society, schools and parents teach us to be fearful that we become reticent to push ourselves out into the world. But not without good reason however, watching my most cutest in the world ever nephew, who seems to have a penchant for electrical items, tall lights, plugs, remotes and so on, it is prudent to gently reign him in, lest he sticks his saliva wet fingers in an electrical socket!
But, I think it is important to rekindle that state of internal safety and exploratoryness and not to terrify ourselves into hermitry. We are safe, we are guided, we are well looked after by all that is. Fear is not to be ignored, it is our guidance. Our work is just to work it into a better feeling place.
All is so very well with us.
Just trust, have fun and do some somersaults (well, only if you've been trained to do so!).
Happy ride-ing!
