I was watching an interview with Taraji P Henson about Hidden Figures (great film btw) and she was saying how at school we're just not taught that girls should be doing math. But had she known the story of the ladies behind NASA, then maybe should would've (but then maybe not as she said she really sucks at math)... But anyhoo!
We can be so defined by society's expectations- men should do this, women should do this, people of x colour, gender or sexuality should or shouldn't be a certain way but what a load of hooey!
You must decide for yourself what you want to do and how you want to live by what you want and not what society has expected for you.
There are so many things people are doing that maybe under the radar, so just because you can't see anyone out there doing what you would like, doesn't mean it's not possible!
You create the life you want to live!
