So last night was the Oscars! Another star studded evening and all that jazz. The speech which claimed the night was by Graham Moore for Adapted Screenplay for 'The Imitation Game.' (Well that and Patricia Arquette demanding equality for women, with J Lo and Meryl going nuts!). On a side note, it's funny the power of relativity- The Imitation Game had been nominated for a host of awards but had been snubbed (I thought it should've won loads more!), but when they won that one Oscar, the joy on the whole team's face was immense!!!
Graham recounted the time when he was younger and almost committed suicide because he felt so different. He affirmed to anyone who felt the same that there is a place for you in this world. And that when it is your turn and you are receiving your success in the spotlight, that you pass on that message of encouragement to someone who has that feeling of not belonging.
The fact that you're into this spiritual material (or at least considering it!) demonstrates that you look at life differently. Odds are you've been through some heavy contrast in your life and you, like Graham, may have considered suicide. But this has all contributed to the powerful you that is you!
It is time to embrace your differentness, revel in the uniqueness that is you! You are always loved and approved and great. The only reason it can feel so bad sometimes, is because you have taken on board what other people have said and are viewing yourself from their point of view, and subsequently disconnected yourself from the Source within you. Because Source knows your perfection, greatness and brilliance at ALL times!
