Angelina Jolie was reflecting about her children and how she was sure that the fire, the fight she saw within them was actually a good thing. She previously wasn't as sure if it was or not!
When it comes to instilling our beliefs in children (or anyone really!), we have to try and let them decide for themselves. Everyone believes that they are right, even or especially me haha, but who really knows?! No one does! And moreso, everyone has their own truth which they will create for themselves. So even though you may find something is right for you and it categorically might be, it may be the complete opposite for someone else.
The best thing you can do for your loved ones is to let them work out what is best for them and be there to catch them when they fall- that's the greatest thing ever. It can be scary to be out in the world but once they know that they've got support no matter what, it'll help them grow beyond measure!
The same goes with your own inner child. Speak to yourself kindly, to reassure you that you'll be there no matter what. You're the only one who'll be there til the end with you so make it a good un!
