Reading and data gathering is truly wonderful, especially with the net, it all is literally at your fingertips and doesn't need to cost a penny!
However, I must say that for me, there's a limit to how much I can learn via a book. It's only when I get out there to actually do whatever it is, that my understanding takes on a whole new level.
So it usually goes in a cycle- I read, get a decent amount of info together, then get out there, do it, go back and read, go out there and do it and so on.
Everyone works differently, some people balk at the thought of prepping, preferring to dive headlong into it. Others would just prefer to stay in a comfortable space of theory. Do whatever works for you, however I'd recommend trying it all. Things make so much sense when you actually do it.
You just have to wait for the internal calling, that inspiration, which should be driving you (vs obligation).
Anyhoo, just tune into you and what calls you.
All is well!!!
Happy do-ing!!!
