And she didn't disappoint! Whilst obviously she's got amazing songs and voice, what I really feel is a huge component to her success is her realness. She's very open, honest, hysterical (she could be a comedienne easily!), the little tidbits during her songs were so funny (e.g. She wasn't being a diva when she couldn't do the Skyfall video because she was '9 and a half months pregnant with a baby coming out her fanny!' (That's the front lady bits and not the bum for any American readers!) She brought a couple of people from the crowd, who were obviously crazy for her, she signed a cup for another fan and squatted for tons of selfies. Very humble, gracious and most of all real.
And I think that really does endear her to people. Same with Jennifer Lawrence! They make mistakes, fall over and aren't afraid to take the mickey out of themselves.
She spoke about her dark times, heartbreaks, post baby blues and how important it is to reach for good feeling things, and how her songs came about from her heartbreak (see, even really bad contrast can yield tremendous benefits!).
She loves her woo woo spirituality which was surprising to hear! She's turning into a 'hippy', she meditates, fell in love with reflexology and needs her crystals around her! She blames her 'worst performance to date' (her words not mine!), at the recent Grammys when she didn't have her crystals with her lol
The whole experience showed me that there's an underlying vibration which is behind the success. And I think that's true for all self employed/business people, do what brings you joy, be authentic and real and people can really pick up on it!!!
All is well!!!
Happy Adele-ing!!!
