Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions section about health, illness and physical well being.
As always, these are just my opinions. Use your own gut to work out what your truth is. Please seek appropriate professional help before making any major life changes, especially with anything to do with your health, nutrition or well being.
Start to speak, feel and think of well being. Make this your default story and dominant vibration. There is little more difficult than reaching for well being when your body is not reacting in the way you want. However, you must start to change your view on your health. It is only logical that a happy emotional system lends itself to a happy, healed body. A depressed emotional system leans towards a depressed immune system. There have been countless stories of spontaneous and miraculous healing that have astounded the scientific community. Keep an open mind that anything is possible and anything will be!
When you’ve laid the vibrational basis for wellness, then like a magnet, you will draw to you people, places and circumstances that are in line with your ultimate good. I heard this woman speak about issues with her skin and I know from my own experience that cutting out gluten, dairy and sugar has helped immensely. Eating vegetables, especially the green ones, has also proved effective. I’m not one to impose my advice on others but when I saw her at the other end of the room I thought to myself ‘I won’t approach her but if she walks back my way, then I will tell her my thoughts.’ A minute later she walked back past me and I stopped her and told her my advice, at that very point in time, a friend of hers, hands her a sachet full of green vitamin goodness. What divine timing! I don’t know if my advice will resonate with her, if she’ll take it or even if it will prove to be effective. But that is a wonderful example of how all the cooperative components can fall together with grace and ease. People will be inspired to share with you books, techniques and treatments to get you on your way to perfect health. All you need to do is get into a good feeling space and allow!
Perhaps, if you feel it would be of benefit to you and more importantly you have a positive belief and expectation towards this healer/treatment. With something like this, you need to work within your belief systems as to what you think you would be effective. There are a myriad of healing treatments out there with something to suit most anyone. Whilst you can heal yourself, the benefit that a healer (or anybody external to you) can offer is distraction and unwavering belief. Because most tend to hold a doctor in high regard, with their years of training, the uniform they wear, the nature of a hospital or doctor’s surgery and our trust in the scientific process, a mere utterance from them such as ‘You’re terminally ill’ or ‘It’s nothing serious,’ can have a profound effect on our health. Whilst this isn’t always the case and there are many examples where there have been mix ups with diagnosis and the healing of a patient, holding someone’s opinion higher than your own puts your power in their hands.
On the other hand, however, if a healer or loved one proclaimed with such vigour that ‘You will be well!’ this can serve you greatly as it acts as a bridge for your belief. It puts you in a state of receptivity for healing. A healer also has many tools at their disposal, whether it’s energy work, crystals, sounds etc This adds to the power of your belief and level of distraction from your not well being.
I was speaking to a physiotherapist and he told me that most everyone in the medical industry confirms the placebo effect. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this, a placebo is a treatment which doesn’t have any medical properties that is used to help patients believe that they are receiving proper medication to treat their illness. For example, the use of a pill made of sugar given to those with a headache, although they are being told it is a form of aspirin. Simply the belief that the action they are taking is going to cure them can be enough for the patient to generate their own healing. Also, the fact that they are being cared for and attended to by someone else can contribute to the recovery of a patient.
So the answer to this question is- if you believe it can work and appreciate the treatment that a healer would offer, then it can only help you to feel good. If you are walking in reluctantly or incredulity then it might not be very effective. Keep an open mind, see if the inspiration is there and take it from there!
Yes! I do believe this is totally possible. It is quite often the case that people come to this work because they have been told they are terminal. The medical profession has proclaimed ‘there isn’t anything more we can do for you, the medication, the surgery can no longer work.’ When faced with this prospect, people have to look elsewhere and spirituality becomes a viable option. Much like the recession, when the carpet is pulled out from under you, you began to realise that there must be more to life than what you can see and hear and then you start searching outwards for more answers and then you turn inwards.
From a vibrational basis, the desire usually is never stronger to be alive and well, than when faced with the possibility of death. So you are shooting rockets of desire more poignantly and powerfully than ever before. Sometimes the strong desire is enough to pull through the well being, but it usually involves some change in thought and consequently action to bridge the gap between belief and manifestation.
Sloppy thinking is a habit for most of us, but when given a time limit on our lifespan, the focus is sharper than ever before and this determination can move mountains. Much like the mother who can lift a car if her child was trapped underneath one, there is so much energy being called forth through this one being that spontaneous healing can occur.
The other side of the equation however, is that death is wrong (and being classed as terminally ill is the equivalent of being handed a death sentence). However, this could not be further from the truth. You are an eternal being, you are spirit made manifest into this magnificent body and death is not the end. It is just the next phase of this wonderful everlasting experience that is you. Whether you leave in your sleep, a blaze of bullets or from an illness, it does not matter! This life is just a blink of an eye in perspective to the entire span of your being, so whether you’re in pure health or terminal, it is ultimately just an experience. Ironically, people only really live when they are told they are about to die, use this opportunity wherever you are to make peace with who you are and those you love around you. Lighten up about life! Lighten up about death! We all make far too much of this. Anything is possible. Just believe and be open to it!
An age old question! Everyone is different and has their own relationship with food. Some can eat anything and not put on an ounce of weight whereas others proclaim that they pile on the pounds just by looking at desserts. Much like anything else, you can look at the diversity by scanning the shelves for nutritional and diet information. Some say only eat certain carbs, others say eat only meats, then there’s the paleo diet, veganism and vegetarian options, the list is endless. Some people easily find a system that works for them and others have tried every diet under the sun with no positive effect.
As with any action, lay the vibrational, feeling good basis and then the right foods for you will make themselves known to you. The body’s cells have developed their own relationship to their owner and over the years you have carved out a body and energetic vibration that will react in certain ways to certain foods. The general consensus is that fresher, live produce is better for you and that gluten, dairy and refined sugar can be quite aggravative but even then, I’m sure there many across the world who would be able to show this isn’t the case for them!
If you have concerns about allergies or what you should be eating, then it might be worth seeking professional advice. Do your best to feel good and most importantly trust your intuition with this and you will draw to you those who are on the same wavelength. I was fortunate enough to come across an amazing nutritionist who was able to explain things in such a clear way for me that it was easy to follow his advice. A good chunk of his advice was information that I already heard but when he presented it to me with his explanations, it hit a note with me and his instruction was easy to follow.
When your energy is lined up with any issue, things generally go smoothly. Although, if things go a little bumpy it can just be a clearing out of old vibration.
Firstly, it would be worth rephrasing the statement. When you begin with ‘How do I get rid of/How can do I fix/How can I change…?’ more often than not, your attention is on the very condition itself than you are a match to that of the solution. In other words, you are activating the vibration of the illness when you try to get rid of it, your attention is on illness rather than wellness. This may seem somewhat trivial but it is usually the basis of the majority of problems, the vibration of what is not wanted is being activated (in this case- illness and getting rid of it) as opposed to what is wanted (i.e. good health).
So start by offering gentle words such as ‘I want to be well, I want to feel good and healthy, vibrant and alive.’ Feel the ease of that! And if this doesn’t feel good to you, then find your own words which are focused upon good health.
So now we are working from a stronger vibrational platform. Trusting that in the contrast of the experience, you have asked for good health and the solution is waiting for you in your Vortex of well being.
You can try one of two ways of going about it. If it is a minor issue (and use your common sense and professional help in determining if it is minor), then do your best to withdraw your attention from it, or at least don’t activate the ‘how bad is this-ness of it!’ For example, if you have a small blemish on your face (which is probably less than 1% of the constituent parts of your face!) then don’t look in the mirror every two minutes belabouring the fact that you think you look ugly! Why give your full, emotionally heavy attention to the small part that isn’t working where most everything else is fine- a piece of advice which would be well applied to life itself and not just a pimple!
The other way is to work to feel better about it. Start telling yourself that in the grand scheme of things, it is just an experience. That it is just the body’s way of reflecting back to you that your vibration isn’t as high as it could be and that there is emotional resistance that you might want to address. If you find the condition is chronic, then it is almost certainly an emotional pattern you have been experiencing time and time again across your life.
Yes, absolutely it is up for change. At any point in time you can change what you are experiencing and simply because you have had this condition for X amount of years or that your family for generations have experienced this, does not mean you have to perpetuate it.
People ask about the role of genetics and a huge part of the hereditary effect is due to practised vibrations. As a child you were told to be this way and behave in that way, not being told why but only because it was the manner in which your parents were raised and their parents were raised etc. The environments where families are brought up tend to be similar, so the experience is likely to be limited to the local area and those that vibrate there (which also contributes to why things happen in communities).
Although this isn’t the advised method as quantum leaps in vibration aren’t particularly easy to deal with, spontaneous recovery can and does occur. Where you have been before and how long you have been there, does not need to affect where you are and definitely does not need to impact where you are going. It can be harder to change circumstances which have been with you for as long as your whole life, but with the right focus and determination to feel good, then you have the power to change anything in your now, or at the very least, pre pave what is to come.
Start by identifying chronic patterns of thought and emotion. What do you default to? If you lose some money, is your knee jerk reaction ‘Oh my god! Why me?!’ or you would lean towards ‘You know, it’s ok, it’s just money and that is replaceable.` Although these answers are quite polarised, if you think where you automatically lean towards, you’ll start to discover where you’ve carved out your vibration. And therefore you can start to link this to your illness. If you’re usually depressed or angry then you will create illnesses which match this. And this can all be largely be influenced by your family and your immediate environment especially if you, like most everyone in the world, observe then react. Determine how you want to feel, set this into place and then look out into the world. If you can train yourself to do this, then you stand in a new place of power and nothing can affect you.
Start to tell a different story first of all. Weight and body issues don’t generally just happen overnight. Through watching the media, listening to people around you, internalising it and then looking at your own reflection in the mirror you’ve come to learn to dislike your body. Louise Hay points out- you don’t see a baby say ‘I’m too fat’, they are just happy to be alive.
You have to make how you feel most important first of all and then your body can begin to morph to how you want it to be. And on the other side of the equation, if you’re not happy now, especially with your body, then chances are you never will be. Think about some important ‘Ws’ here. What do you want? Why do you want it? If this Universe has inspired the desire within you, then it has the ability to deliver it to you. But to get in the vibrational vicinity of this, you must start to focus on what you want. You tend to hear people say ‘I’m too fat. I shouldn’t eat this dessert.’ Or ‘I want to be thinner.’ (usually with the undertone of ‘because I’m too fat). One way to ease the locked in-ness of this, is to focus on why you want it. Do you want to be thinner for health reasons? To feel better about your beauty? Or because the media, your family, Hollywood stars and your friends say so?
You are offering very different and usually split vibrations if you are saying ‘I want to thin/rich/loved’ but are feeling ‘because I’m fat/broke/unloved.’ If you begin to examine why you want something, you can soften the resistance you are emitting. For example, ‘I want to lose (or gain) weight because I think I’d like how that would feel physically, I would feel more vital, more alive, I want to feel energised and bouncy.’ Feel the difference in the underlying vibration of those two ways of being.
As you start to ease the resistance within you, your cells start to react in more pleasing ways. You’ll find ways to exercise and live, which are more in line with bringing your body into a more pleasing state of being. Then losing/gaining weight and most importantly, loving your body will be infinitely easier.
There are no huge rights or wrongs or should or shouldn’ts in the grand scheme of things. So if you want to eat meat, then eat meat, if you do not want to eat meat then don’t. Choose your choices for any given action and then the inspired action will be easy to follow through.
If you eat meat because it doesn’t seem to agree with you or for some other reason that helps you feel good and therefore helps you align with you then it will be wonderfully inspired. A friend of mine had been working towards vegetarianism for a while and was finding the transition easy. She then woke up one morning and felt inspired to become a vegan and it was as easy as that to carry out that action. When you pre pave the energy then life becomes so much easier for you.
Some people say that animals shouldn’t be eaten because they don’t like the death of animals. But like humans- there is no death! If you can lighten up about the whole subject then it will serve you far greater than anything else. Both the animals and humans know what their experience will be (albeit in a general sense) and if they do not want to experience that, then there is no coming forth.
Don’t work from a place of pushing against. There are so many protests and wars in the name of ‘You’re doing something wrong, you must stop so I can feel better!’ But that never works, because you cannot control everyone, there are just too many of them out there! If you do believe in a cause then put your energy on what you do want. If you wish for better animal welfare, then put your money towards organic meat. If you don’t want to eat meat, then buy your vegetables (or whatever it is you like) and appreciate that. Just don’t engage in a behaviour with the attitude of pushing against and definitely don’t expect anyone else to follow suit. Everyone has different lives carved out for them and the diversity of wanting is immense. Just appreciate it all- the variety of the buffet of life!
Mother Theresa reportedly said ‘Don’t tell me about the war protests, but tell me when there is a peace march!’ A subtle yet excellent example of putting your attention on what you do want.
Yes, I would say this is totally possible! As there are those who have visualised themselves better from cancer. If you can truly believe and feel good about it then this would put you into Step 3 mode- the mode of allowing, because you have asked for a more pleasing body shape and the Universe has all the steps in place for you allow this in. Your job is to get into the Vortex of physical well being and more importantly, feel appreciation for yourself.
The other side to this however, is that it is very easy (or at least, easier) to visualise yourself in an ideal body for a few minutes a few times a day. But what are you doing for the other 23 hours and 54 minutes of your day? Are you resenting your body shape as you try to go about your daily life? Are you eating cake and thinking ‘I shouldn’t be eating this, a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips?!’ Are you not eating cake and feeling lack or resentment? This is a small but common example of how it is possible to offer contradictory vibrations without necessarily realising it. Your job is really to train your awareness and eventually your vibration into as good a feeling space as possible.
If you are able to focus and visualise yourself how you want it to be and make this your dominant vibration then everything else will follow. It is likely that you will feel inspired to do exercise and take action which will feel good to you and be much easier to bridge your belief between losing or gaining weight. You will want to walk, dance, stretch, run, go the gym, and do many things which help get your body to how you want it to be.
The fastest and easiest way to get anywhere is to appreciate the now, appreciate the amazingness that is your physical form. Ironically, when you really begin to appreciate your now, you realise you don’t need to change a thing and what you want comes to you faster. As you make peace with where you are, you are bringing your vibration into alignment with who you really are and you are not offering any contradictory signals. As you do your best to feel good about where you are now and can truly offer that wonderful single point of focus, not only do you bring yourself closer to the situation you want, you are also allowing your resistance to be released. This is due to the fact that as you love yourself now, there is no underlying current of ‘I would like to activate where I want to be because I don’t like where I am now.’
It is asked ‘If I appreciate my now, then won’t this perpetuate the condition that I’m trying to change?’ The answer to this is ‘No, it won’t!’ This is because as you are feeling good about your now, your vibration rises and resistance releases. This then puts you into Step 3 mode- the state of receiving and allowing. Step 2 has already taken place- you have asked for your perfect body and all the things that go with this, so as you love your now, you put yourself into the space to receive what you want and have already asked for incrementally over the years. Remember- when you’re feeling good, you’re attracting what you really want.
It can also be the case, that as you start to appreciate your body as it is, you won’t find you need to change it because you’ll realise the perfection that it always is and always was! Allowing you to: love yourself, draw to you those who love you and more importantly, focus on other good feeling things that you want to attract to yourself.
There is no one right way to behave in order to achieve desired results. The problem with looking at the actions of someone else, then trying to mimic these is that you don’t have access to the person’s consciousness, state of mind or thoughts. Whilst it is possible to get a read someone else’s vibration by how they speak and act, you can’t know what’s going within them all the time. Therefore when they take an action that’s directly as a result of their alignment, it is effective for them, but mimicking the action they took isn’t necessarily the best way for you. So when another person offers you the advice to fast/diet/take pills you have to see how this matches up with your own beliefs and if it feels right to you then see how it goes.
There are a myriad of books on the subject of health and body shaping, some say you have to do this type of workout, others say you have to do that way. Just like foods- there is virtually a web page being a proponent for one type of food with another saying it is poison! This is because everyone has a different cellular, mental, spiritual and vibrational make up. No two people have lived the exact same life in the exact same way, therefore what works for one might not work for another.
Some people can eat anything and everything (and they do) but still are skinny whilst others can’t seem to do enough exercise to shift their excess pounds, it is all down to your relationship with you. Make your desire and your feeling good about it, your priority. Then when you look out into the world, you will find the right action to take in whatever shape or form. Taking action is a delicious part of this physical life experience. You came forth to live life and experience what it would be like to be in these bodies, make taking the action an enjoyable component of lining up with what you deserve. It is harder to get to where you are going from a place of deprivation which is a focus on lack. But working from a place of inspiration will yield far more enjoyable action with effective results.
Yes, I truly believe that any illness can be cured or at least treated incredibly effectively. It is simply a matter of allowing a solution in. There were many deadly diseases which existed many centuries ago which can very easily be treated nowadays. Just like in many decades from now, things which are terminal will be fixable in a matter of hours.
It is vital to keep on the hope side of the emotional scale. There have been things which were seemingly impossible but as soon as one person breaks through this belief barrier, then others follow suit. And it’s not a matter of the resources or knowledge that didn’t exist previously, it is because no one believed they could.
For example, since the timings were professionally recorded in 1850, the fastest time for running one mile was over well 4 minutes. This continued to be the case for over a hundred years, until 1954 where Roger Bannister broke the record and completed the one mile in 3.59.4 minutes. A mere 46 days later this was accomplished by John Landy in 3.58 minutes.
This is a similar story to the world of technology, Steve Jobs and Apple have revolutionised the world of media, technology and communication. Their mass market release and consequent success with their products has pushed all of the other technology companies to copy them. It was never a priority for a phone or music player or even product packaging to be beautifully designed and user friendly. However, the more success Apple had, the more this led the market.
Similarly, Oprah has been number 1 and one of the most successful talk shows in history for its entire 25 year run! Especially considering her background (abused, miscarried at a young age) and her physical appearance (being a female, quite large and an ethnic minority) and the sheer amount of competing shows. She specifically told her team, to not pay attention to the competition, just run the best race they could, because energy spent looking at the competition is energy taken away from getting to their goal.
What the above examples demonstrate is that to achieve the seemingly impossible, you must keep to your dream and not be told otherwise. Whether it’s a doctor telling you that you are terminally ill, have an incurable disease or it’s a teacher telling you that you won’t amount to anything, do not let anyone stand in the way of you allowing all your goodies in and the desires that you have given birth to.
Whether it’s a miracle drug, a surgery or energy work, there are many paths to wellness, you just have to take the first aligned step towards it.
Firstly and most importantly, this question is referring to those who view their behaviour (drugs, overeating etc) as a problem. As drug taking, over/under eating etc are neutral actions and are not inherently bad (despite what our parents, society or whoever says- there is not one right way of being!), it is just if we are using these to compensate for misaligned vibration. So if you’re aligned when doing anything then you need not pay attention to this question. If however, you are in a painful emotional place with substances then hopefully this answer will assist you.
First and foremost, whilst you are wanting to change this specific behaviour, hopefully it is reassuring to know that it isn’t the disorder itself that is your issue, it is the underlying negative feelings which are causing this problem. Just like feeling good will inspire positive actions, feeling bad will inspire negative actions. If you can deal with the feelings first, then the behaviour will become a non issue.
So, first of all, you want to take away the weighty-ness of these issues. Isn’t the phrase ‘Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic?’ How horrible is that? Just because you’ve engaged in a behaviour for a period of time, you’ve somehow been branded that for life? Instead, offer another story. Just say ‘I used to engage in this behaviour which at the time felt good but now, I choose to change.’ Feel how easy that feels. From this standpoint you are more empowered and are more likely to follow through with the inspired action to your desired outcome.
Next you want to address what feelings, situations and circumstances contributed to reaching for the food, substance or behaviour you no longer wish to perpetuate. For example, is it unworthiness, depression or anger which makes you want to do this? Or is it when you get into an argument, are rejected or criticised?
I want you to realise that the only reason you are reaching for these behaviours is simply from a powerful, stronger desire to feel better, so do not feel guilty or bad. You just need some soothing. So there is some belief within you that needs shifting, some sense of worthiness which needs healing.
Whilst it’s always advisable to seek professional help in matters of the body and health, find someone who resonates with you and who doesn’t make you feel bad or perpetuates the discord in your vibration. An old friend told me that although they weren’t an alcoholic, she loved attending her Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as, in her own words ‘A good AA meeting will make you feel as though you can fly.’
So, the key to changing any undesired behaviour is to make peace with where you are; realise that you are just wanting to feel better and examine the emotional triggers which make you reach for this habit.
A number of people say ‘I can’t be social without a drink’ or ‘I’m stressed I need a cigarette.’ This is the perfect example of creating a dependence on a substance or thing to help support you. In this particular instance, it’s not a case of ‘I really enjoy the taste of this drink’ or ‘I am enjoying the sensation of smoking’ (purely for the sensation), but an example of feeling a negative emotion and reaching outside of oneself to feel better. Or ‘I am enjoying this delicious food so I will eat plenty of it’ as opposed to trying to fill an emotional void.
And whilst it is possible to wrestle the behaviour to the ground and suddenly stop doing it without laying the emotional groundwork, the chances are that it will just be replaced by another ‘dysfunctional’ behaviour. The same applies to those who jump from relationship to relationship trying to fill the void of love. It’s looking for alignment in all the wrong places.
When you clear up the emotional basis and start to release any confidence, insecurity or anxiety issues, then if or when you reach for the food, substance or behaviour it will be for the experience and pleasure of it, not to try and compensate for feeling bad. In other words, the issue and the behaviour will dissipate, hence- it being an emotional not habitual issue. Chillout. You are good and perfect exactly as you are.
And you must realise you are powerful creator! You are more powerful than most anyone else you would know. Simply because the feeling of disconnection from Source is so painful to you that you need to reach for that extreme behaviour to bring you back into alignment.
But when you find that alignment in whichever way you can, you will be one of the most powerful creators you know and things will flow to you powerfully and surely like they never have done before. So just know that the worse you feel, the better it is on the other side. All is truly well here.
No, not at all. Like all things, they are neither bad nor good, but in society and the media they are often judged by the actions carried out to obtain these. All these substances are, are tools to help you feel better and release resistance. As you start to introduce them to the system, the body reacts to assimilate it and over time the action of physically taking them, combined with the emotional response makes ‘coming off it’ harder. You begin to associate the substance with the feeling good/relief from feeling bad that it helps you experience.
However, when you can generate your alignment using the power of your mind, then alcohol or anything like that doesn’t need to be an uncontrollable addiction, it can be just a treat every so often. It is the life force flowing through you and the exhilaration that you crave. It is the same with most any type of addictive behaviour, you see the same gamblers day in and day out at the casinos because it gives them something to focus on, it gives them a reason for experiencing and being. The rush and hope of the good feeling generated by a big win draws them in. I doubt if many of them in their heart of hearts think that they will come out ahead by playing there day after day. Although I’m sure some might think they can win, the statistical edge the casino has inbuilt into their games makes this less than likely. Anyway, my point is, that it is not the actual action which is the issue but the reasons for the behaviour.
The benefit of drugs and alcohol is they help you release resistance. It is usually quite that simple. Meditation and appreciation are just as effective. All the tools are just ways to bring you into alignment. The only thing about drugs or alcohol is that the diffusion of resistance that they bring about, also affects your ability to focus into alignment. So it has a less polarizing effect on your vibration- your highs (so to speak!) aren’t as high but your lows aren’t as low. So it’s not possible to gain the clearest enlightenment or alignment with this diffusion of consciousness.
When you’re in control of your vibration, you dictate what you take and when you take it. However, when you’re out of alignment, fumbling around through life, then it can be very much the case that the substance is controlling you. And it’s from this lack of connection which gives you the impulse to need the drug all the time, which could eventually lead to theft, addiction etc. And that is what people are judging, and why the action and substance get associated with each and thrown into the same pile.
What about the media’s representation of body image?! Whilst it is true that movies, magazines and TV series do perpetuate the image of the tall, skinny, beautifully groomed hair and immaculate skin stars and starlets, it need not affect you in the slightest.
Abraham says words to the effect of: a million people could be (vibrationally) pushing against you but your energy need not be affected unless you push back. Likewise, the whole world and their dog could say that you need to be a certain way but unless you give them your attention, it will have no effect on your vibration.
Follow your inner guidance and let no one dictate to you how your life should be. Especially when it comes to your own body! However, you don’t want to look at the media in disdain because that is more pushing against. Instead, you want to appreciate those beautiful people in the media, you want to appreciate the beautiful people in your life and most of all, you want to appreciate the beautiful person in the mirror (i.e. yourself). In other words, don’t use anything as an excuse to block any good feelings.
You want to appreciate the beauty in all things around you. And beauty really is in the eye of the beholder, as you look across time and across the world, you will notice that the concept of beauty is ever-changing. Something as simple as a suntan has had varying connotations. Before the 1920s tanned skin was undesirable as only the working class spent time in the sun, whereas the rich women went out of their way to be as pale as possible. They even apparently put lead based cosmetics to make themselves appear whiter. However, nowadays, it is quite fashionable to have tanned skin with many resorting to fake tanning.
So my point here is that you cannot turn to society to dictate how you should look. Much like anything else, everyone has a different opinion and if you try to absorb what the status quo of beauty is, whilst being unappreciative of your own perfection at any point in time, this will block your energy to no end.
Do your best to love yourself exactly as you are and if you have goals for your body, then keep to these too but in a state of excitement and working towards. The media can be so fickle and if you use this to gauge how you want to be, you’ll forever be playing catch up. You’ll try to mould your body to follow this, then if it switches the next day, you’ll have to readjust it.
A baby is so pure in love and acceptance. See yourself through a baby’s eyes, they just stare at you and are having so much fun being physical. Do your best to look into your own eyes and feel your brilliance, both physical and mental, shine through. Set the tone that you want to hold and allow that to emanate from you and you will always feel and be perceived as beautiful.
As always, these are just my opinions. Use your own gut to work out what your truth is. Please seek appropriate professional help before making any major life changes, especially with anything to do with your health, nutrition or well being.
- I’m ill and I want perfect health! What do I do?
Start to speak, feel and think of well being. Make this your default story and dominant vibration. There is little more difficult than reaching for well being when your body is not reacting in the way you want. However, you must start to change your view on your health. It is only logical that a happy emotional system lends itself to a happy, healed body. A depressed emotional system leans towards a depressed immune system. There have been countless stories of spontaneous and miraculous healing that have astounded the scientific community. Keep an open mind that anything is possible and anything will be!
When you’ve laid the vibrational basis for wellness, then like a magnet, you will draw to you people, places and circumstances that are in line with your ultimate good. I heard this woman speak about issues with her skin and I know from my own experience that cutting out gluten, dairy and sugar has helped immensely. Eating vegetables, especially the green ones, has also proved effective. I’m not one to impose my advice on others but when I saw her at the other end of the room I thought to myself ‘I won’t approach her but if she walks back my way, then I will tell her my thoughts.’ A minute later she walked back past me and I stopped her and told her my advice, at that very point in time, a friend of hers, hands her a sachet full of green vitamin goodness. What divine timing! I don’t know if my advice will resonate with her, if she’ll take it or even if it will prove to be effective. But that is a wonderful example of how all the cooperative components can fall together with grace and ease. People will be inspired to share with you books, techniques and treatments to get you on your way to perfect health. All you need to do is get into a good feeling space and allow!
- Should I see a healer or try alternative therapies?
Perhaps, if you feel it would be of benefit to you and more importantly you have a positive belief and expectation towards this healer/treatment. With something like this, you need to work within your belief systems as to what you think you would be effective. There are a myriad of healing treatments out there with something to suit most anyone. Whilst you can heal yourself, the benefit that a healer (or anybody external to you) can offer is distraction and unwavering belief. Because most tend to hold a doctor in high regard, with their years of training, the uniform they wear, the nature of a hospital or doctor’s surgery and our trust in the scientific process, a mere utterance from them such as ‘You’re terminally ill’ or ‘It’s nothing serious,’ can have a profound effect on our health. Whilst this isn’t always the case and there are many examples where there have been mix ups with diagnosis and the healing of a patient, holding someone’s opinion higher than your own puts your power in their hands.
On the other hand, however, if a healer or loved one proclaimed with such vigour that ‘You will be well!’ this can serve you greatly as it acts as a bridge for your belief. It puts you in a state of receptivity for healing. A healer also has many tools at their disposal, whether it’s energy work, crystals, sounds etc This adds to the power of your belief and level of distraction from your not well being.
I was speaking to a physiotherapist and he told me that most everyone in the medical industry confirms the placebo effect. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this, a placebo is a treatment which doesn’t have any medical properties that is used to help patients believe that they are receiving proper medication to treat their illness. For example, the use of a pill made of sugar given to those with a headache, although they are being told it is a form of aspirin. Simply the belief that the action they are taking is going to cure them can be enough for the patient to generate their own healing. Also, the fact that they are being cared for and attended to by someone else can contribute to the recovery of a patient.
So the answer to this question is- if you believe it can work and appreciate the treatment that a healer would offer, then it can only help you to feel good. If you are walking in reluctantly or incredulity then it might not be very effective. Keep an open mind, see if the inspiration is there and take it from there!
- I’ve been told I’m terminally ill. Can I change this?
Yes! I do believe this is totally possible. It is quite often the case that people come to this work because they have been told they are terminal. The medical profession has proclaimed ‘there isn’t anything more we can do for you, the medication, the surgery can no longer work.’ When faced with this prospect, people have to look elsewhere and spirituality becomes a viable option. Much like the recession, when the carpet is pulled out from under you, you began to realise that there must be more to life than what you can see and hear and then you start searching outwards for more answers and then you turn inwards.
From a vibrational basis, the desire usually is never stronger to be alive and well, than when faced with the possibility of death. So you are shooting rockets of desire more poignantly and powerfully than ever before. Sometimes the strong desire is enough to pull through the well being, but it usually involves some change in thought and consequently action to bridge the gap between belief and manifestation.
Sloppy thinking is a habit for most of us, but when given a time limit on our lifespan, the focus is sharper than ever before and this determination can move mountains. Much like the mother who can lift a car if her child was trapped underneath one, there is so much energy being called forth through this one being that spontaneous healing can occur.
The other side of the equation however, is that death is wrong (and being classed as terminally ill is the equivalent of being handed a death sentence). However, this could not be further from the truth. You are an eternal being, you are spirit made manifest into this magnificent body and death is not the end. It is just the next phase of this wonderful everlasting experience that is you. Whether you leave in your sleep, a blaze of bullets or from an illness, it does not matter! This life is just a blink of an eye in perspective to the entire span of your being, so whether you’re in pure health or terminal, it is ultimately just an experience. Ironically, people only really live when they are told they are about to die, use this opportunity wherever you are to make peace with who you are and those you love around you. Lighten up about life! Lighten up about death! We all make far too much of this. Anything is possible. Just believe and be open to it!
- What should I eat?
An age old question! Everyone is different and has their own relationship with food. Some can eat anything and not put on an ounce of weight whereas others proclaim that they pile on the pounds just by looking at desserts. Much like anything else, you can look at the diversity by scanning the shelves for nutritional and diet information. Some say only eat certain carbs, others say eat only meats, then there’s the paleo diet, veganism and vegetarian options, the list is endless. Some people easily find a system that works for them and others have tried every diet under the sun with no positive effect.
As with any action, lay the vibrational, feeling good basis and then the right foods for you will make themselves known to you. The body’s cells have developed their own relationship to their owner and over the years you have carved out a body and energetic vibration that will react in certain ways to certain foods. The general consensus is that fresher, live produce is better for you and that gluten, dairy and refined sugar can be quite aggravative but even then, I’m sure there many across the world who would be able to show this isn’t the case for them!
If you have concerns about allergies or what you should be eating, then it might be worth seeking professional advice. Do your best to feel good and most importantly trust your intuition with this and you will draw to you those who are on the same wavelength. I was fortunate enough to come across an amazing nutritionist who was able to explain things in such a clear way for me that it was easy to follow his advice. A good chunk of his advice was information that I already heard but when he presented it to me with his explanations, it hit a note with me and his instruction was easy to follow.
When your energy is lined up with any issue, things generally go smoothly. Although, if things go a little bumpy it can just be a clearing out of old vibration.
- How do I get rid of this condition (illness/allergy etc)?
Firstly, it would be worth rephrasing the statement. When you begin with ‘How do I get rid of/How can do I fix/How can I change…?’ more often than not, your attention is on the very condition itself than you are a match to that of the solution. In other words, you are activating the vibration of the illness when you try to get rid of it, your attention is on illness rather than wellness. This may seem somewhat trivial but it is usually the basis of the majority of problems, the vibration of what is not wanted is being activated (in this case- illness and getting rid of it) as opposed to what is wanted (i.e. good health).
So start by offering gentle words such as ‘I want to be well, I want to feel good and healthy, vibrant and alive.’ Feel the ease of that! And if this doesn’t feel good to you, then find your own words which are focused upon good health.
So now we are working from a stronger vibrational platform. Trusting that in the contrast of the experience, you have asked for good health and the solution is waiting for you in your Vortex of well being.
You can try one of two ways of going about it. If it is a minor issue (and use your common sense and professional help in determining if it is minor), then do your best to withdraw your attention from it, or at least don’t activate the ‘how bad is this-ness of it!’ For example, if you have a small blemish on your face (which is probably less than 1% of the constituent parts of your face!) then don’t look in the mirror every two minutes belabouring the fact that you think you look ugly! Why give your full, emotionally heavy attention to the small part that isn’t working where most everything else is fine- a piece of advice which would be well applied to life itself and not just a pimple!
The other way is to work to feel better about it. Start telling yourself that in the grand scheme of things, it is just an experience. That it is just the body’s way of reflecting back to you that your vibration isn’t as high as it could be and that there is emotional resistance that you might want to address. If you find the condition is chronic, then it is almost certainly an emotional pattern you have been experiencing time and time again across your life.
- I’ve had a condition since I was a child. Is this something I can change or was it inherited/permanent?
Yes, absolutely it is up for change. At any point in time you can change what you are experiencing and simply because you have had this condition for X amount of years or that your family for generations have experienced this, does not mean you have to perpetuate it.
People ask about the role of genetics and a huge part of the hereditary effect is due to practised vibrations. As a child you were told to be this way and behave in that way, not being told why but only because it was the manner in which your parents were raised and their parents were raised etc. The environments where families are brought up tend to be similar, so the experience is likely to be limited to the local area and those that vibrate there (which also contributes to why things happen in communities).
Although this isn’t the advised method as quantum leaps in vibration aren’t particularly easy to deal with, spontaneous recovery can and does occur. Where you have been before and how long you have been there, does not need to affect where you are and definitely does not need to impact where you are going. It can be harder to change circumstances which have been with you for as long as your whole life, but with the right focus and determination to feel good, then you have the power to change anything in your now, or at the very least, pre pave what is to come.
Start by identifying chronic patterns of thought and emotion. What do you default to? If you lose some money, is your knee jerk reaction ‘Oh my god! Why me?!’ or you would lean towards ‘You know, it’s ok, it’s just money and that is replaceable.` Although these answers are quite polarised, if you think where you automatically lean towards, you’ll start to discover where you’ve carved out your vibration. And therefore you can start to link this to your illness. If you’re usually depressed or angry then you will create illnesses which match this. And this can all be largely be influenced by your family and your immediate environment especially if you, like most everyone in the world, observe then react. Determine how you want to feel, set this into place and then look out into the world. If you can train yourself to do this, then you stand in a new place of power and nothing can affect you.
- I’m too fat/too thin. I want to lose/gain weight. And/or I hate my body! What can I do?
Start to tell a different story first of all. Weight and body issues don’t generally just happen overnight. Through watching the media, listening to people around you, internalising it and then looking at your own reflection in the mirror you’ve come to learn to dislike your body. Louise Hay points out- you don’t see a baby say ‘I’m too fat’, they are just happy to be alive.
You have to make how you feel most important first of all and then your body can begin to morph to how you want it to be. And on the other side of the equation, if you’re not happy now, especially with your body, then chances are you never will be. Think about some important ‘Ws’ here. What do you want? Why do you want it? If this Universe has inspired the desire within you, then it has the ability to deliver it to you. But to get in the vibrational vicinity of this, you must start to focus on what you want. You tend to hear people say ‘I’m too fat. I shouldn’t eat this dessert.’ Or ‘I want to be thinner.’ (usually with the undertone of ‘because I’m too fat). One way to ease the locked in-ness of this, is to focus on why you want it. Do you want to be thinner for health reasons? To feel better about your beauty? Or because the media, your family, Hollywood stars and your friends say so?
You are offering very different and usually split vibrations if you are saying ‘I want to thin/rich/loved’ but are feeling ‘because I’m fat/broke/unloved.’ If you begin to examine why you want something, you can soften the resistance you are emitting. For example, ‘I want to lose (or gain) weight because I think I’d like how that would feel physically, I would feel more vital, more alive, I want to feel energised and bouncy.’ Feel the difference in the underlying vibration of those two ways of being.
As you start to ease the resistance within you, your cells start to react in more pleasing ways. You’ll find ways to exercise and live, which are more in line with bringing your body into a more pleasing state of being. Then losing/gaining weight and most importantly, loving your body will be infinitely easier.
- Should I eat meat?
There are no huge rights or wrongs or should or shouldn’ts in the grand scheme of things. So if you want to eat meat, then eat meat, if you do not want to eat meat then don’t. Choose your choices for any given action and then the inspired action will be easy to follow through.
If you eat meat because it doesn’t seem to agree with you or for some other reason that helps you feel good and therefore helps you align with you then it will be wonderfully inspired. A friend of mine had been working towards vegetarianism for a while and was finding the transition easy. She then woke up one morning and felt inspired to become a vegan and it was as easy as that to carry out that action. When you pre pave the energy then life becomes so much easier for you.
Some people say that animals shouldn’t be eaten because they don’t like the death of animals. But like humans- there is no death! If you can lighten up about the whole subject then it will serve you far greater than anything else. Both the animals and humans know what their experience will be (albeit in a general sense) and if they do not want to experience that, then there is no coming forth.
Don’t work from a place of pushing against. There are so many protests and wars in the name of ‘You’re doing something wrong, you must stop so I can feel better!’ But that never works, because you cannot control everyone, there are just too many of them out there! If you do believe in a cause then put your energy on what you do want. If you wish for better animal welfare, then put your money towards organic meat. If you don’t want to eat meat, then buy your vegetables (or whatever it is you like) and appreciate that. Just don’t engage in a behaviour with the attitude of pushing against and definitely don’t expect anyone else to follow suit. Everyone has different lives carved out for them and the diversity of wanting is immense. Just appreciate it all- the variety of the buffet of life!
Mother Theresa reportedly said ‘Don’t tell me about the war protests, but tell me when there is a peace march!’ A subtle yet excellent example of putting your attention on what you do want.
- Can’t I just visualise myself better/thinner/prettier etc?
Yes, I would say this is totally possible! As there are those who have visualised themselves better from cancer. If you can truly believe and feel good about it then this would put you into Step 3 mode- the mode of allowing, because you have asked for a more pleasing body shape and the Universe has all the steps in place for you allow this in. Your job is to get into the Vortex of physical well being and more importantly, feel appreciation for yourself.
The other side to this however, is that it is very easy (or at least, easier) to visualise yourself in an ideal body for a few minutes a few times a day. But what are you doing for the other 23 hours and 54 minutes of your day? Are you resenting your body shape as you try to go about your daily life? Are you eating cake and thinking ‘I shouldn’t be eating this, a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips?!’ Are you not eating cake and feeling lack or resentment? This is a small but common example of how it is possible to offer contradictory vibrations without necessarily realising it. Your job is really to train your awareness and eventually your vibration into as good a feeling space as possible.
If you are able to focus and visualise yourself how you want it to be and make this your dominant vibration then everything else will follow. It is likely that you will feel inspired to do exercise and take action which will feel good to you and be much easier to bridge your belief between losing or gaining weight. You will want to walk, dance, stretch, run, go the gym, and do many things which help get your body to how you want it to be.
The fastest and easiest way to get anywhere is to appreciate the now, appreciate the amazingness that is your physical form. Ironically, when you really begin to appreciate your now, you realise you don’t need to change a thing and what you want comes to you faster. As you make peace with where you are, you are bringing your vibration into alignment with who you really are and you are not offering any contradictory signals. As you do your best to feel good about where you are now and can truly offer that wonderful single point of focus, not only do you bring yourself closer to the situation you want, you are also allowing your resistance to be released. This is due to the fact that as you love yourself now, there is no underlying current of ‘I would like to activate where I want to be because I don’t like where I am now.’
It is asked ‘If I appreciate my now, then won’t this perpetuate the condition that I’m trying to change?’ The answer to this is ‘No, it won’t!’ This is because as you are feeling good about your now, your vibration rises and resistance releases. This then puts you into Step 3 mode- the state of receiving and allowing. Step 2 has already taken place- you have asked for your perfect body and all the things that go with this, so as you love your now, you put yourself into the space to receive what you want and have already asked for incrementally over the years. Remember- when you’re feeling good, you’re attracting what you really want.
It can also be the case, that as you start to appreciate your body as it is, you won’t find you need to change it because you’ll realise the perfection that it always is and always was! Allowing you to: love yourself, draw to you those who love you and more importantly, focus on other good feeling things that you want to attract to yourself.
- Should I fast/diet/take pills?
There is no one right way to behave in order to achieve desired results. The problem with looking at the actions of someone else, then trying to mimic these is that you don’t have access to the person’s consciousness, state of mind or thoughts. Whilst it is possible to get a read someone else’s vibration by how they speak and act, you can’t know what’s going within them all the time. Therefore when they take an action that’s directly as a result of their alignment, it is effective for them, but mimicking the action they took isn’t necessarily the best way for you. So when another person offers you the advice to fast/diet/take pills you have to see how this matches up with your own beliefs and if it feels right to you then see how it goes.
There are a myriad of books on the subject of health and body shaping, some say you have to do this type of workout, others say you have to do that way. Just like foods- there is virtually a web page being a proponent for one type of food with another saying it is poison! This is because everyone has a different cellular, mental, spiritual and vibrational make up. No two people have lived the exact same life in the exact same way, therefore what works for one might not work for another.
Some people can eat anything and everything (and they do) but still are skinny whilst others can’t seem to do enough exercise to shift their excess pounds, it is all down to your relationship with you. Make your desire and your feeling good about it, your priority. Then when you look out into the world, you will find the right action to take in whatever shape or form. Taking action is a delicious part of this physical life experience. You came forth to live life and experience what it would be like to be in these bodies, make taking the action an enjoyable component of lining up with what you deserve. It is harder to get to where you are going from a place of deprivation which is a focus on lack. But working from a place of inspiration will yield far more enjoyable action with effective results.
- Can any illness be cured?
Yes, I truly believe that any illness can be cured or at least treated incredibly effectively. It is simply a matter of allowing a solution in. There were many deadly diseases which existed many centuries ago which can very easily be treated nowadays. Just like in many decades from now, things which are terminal will be fixable in a matter of hours.
It is vital to keep on the hope side of the emotional scale. There have been things which were seemingly impossible but as soon as one person breaks through this belief barrier, then others follow suit. And it’s not a matter of the resources or knowledge that didn’t exist previously, it is because no one believed they could.
For example, since the timings were professionally recorded in 1850, the fastest time for running one mile was over well 4 minutes. This continued to be the case for over a hundred years, until 1954 where Roger Bannister broke the record and completed the one mile in 3.59.4 minutes. A mere 46 days later this was accomplished by John Landy in 3.58 minutes.
This is a similar story to the world of technology, Steve Jobs and Apple have revolutionised the world of media, technology and communication. Their mass market release and consequent success with their products has pushed all of the other technology companies to copy them. It was never a priority for a phone or music player or even product packaging to be beautifully designed and user friendly. However, the more success Apple had, the more this led the market.
Similarly, Oprah has been number 1 and one of the most successful talk shows in history for its entire 25 year run! Especially considering her background (abused, miscarried at a young age) and her physical appearance (being a female, quite large and an ethnic minority) and the sheer amount of competing shows. She specifically told her team, to not pay attention to the competition, just run the best race they could, because energy spent looking at the competition is energy taken away from getting to their goal.
What the above examples demonstrate is that to achieve the seemingly impossible, you must keep to your dream and not be told otherwise. Whether it’s a doctor telling you that you are terminally ill, have an incurable disease or it’s a teacher telling you that you won’t amount to anything, do not let anyone stand in the way of you allowing all your goodies in and the desires that you have given birth to.
Whether it’s a miracle drug, a surgery or energy work, there are many paths to wellness, you just have to take the first aligned step towards it.
- I have a substance abuse/eating disorder, I don’t like it and want to change. What advice do you have?
Firstly and most importantly, this question is referring to those who view their behaviour (drugs, overeating etc) as a problem. As drug taking, over/under eating etc are neutral actions and are not inherently bad (despite what our parents, society or whoever says- there is not one right way of being!), it is just if we are using these to compensate for misaligned vibration. So if you’re aligned when doing anything then you need not pay attention to this question. If however, you are in a painful emotional place with substances then hopefully this answer will assist you.
First and foremost, whilst you are wanting to change this specific behaviour, hopefully it is reassuring to know that it isn’t the disorder itself that is your issue, it is the underlying negative feelings which are causing this problem. Just like feeling good will inspire positive actions, feeling bad will inspire negative actions. If you can deal with the feelings first, then the behaviour will become a non issue.
So, first of all, you want to take away the weighty-ness of these issues. Isn’t the phrase ‘Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic?’ How horrible is that? Just because you’ve engaged in a behaviour for a period of time, you’ve somehow been branded that for life? Instead, offer another story. Just say ‘I used to engage in this behaviour which at the time felt good but now, I choose to change.’ Feel how easy that feels. From this standpoint you are more empowered and are more likely to follow through with the inspired action to your desired outcome.
Next you want to address what feelings, situations and circumstances contributed to reaching for the food, substance or behaviour you no longer wish to perpetuate. For example, is it unworthiness, depression or anger which makes you want to do this? Or is it when you get into an argument, are rejected or criticised?
I want you to realise that the only reason you are reaching for these behaviours is simply from a powerful, stronger desire to feel better, so do not feel guilty or bad. You just need some soothing. So there is some belief within you that needs shifting, some sense of worthiness which needs healing.
Whilst it’s always advisable to seek professional help in matters of the body and health, find someone who resonates with you and who doesn’t make you feel bad or perpetuates the discord in your vibration. An old friend told me that although they weren’t an alcoholic, she loved attending her Alcoholics Anonymous meetings as, in her own words ‘A good AA meeting will make you feel as though you can fly.’
So, the key to changing any undesired behaviour is to make peace with where you are; realise that you are just wanting to feel better and examine the emotional triggers which make you reach for this habit.
A number of people say ‘I can’t be social without a drink’ or ‘I’m stressed I need a cigarette.’ This is the perfect example of creating a dependence on a substance or thing to help support you. In this particular instance, it’s not a case of ‘I really enjoy the taste of this drink’ or ‘I am enjoying the sensation of smoking’ (purely for the sensation), but an example of feeling a negative emotion and reaching outside of oneself to feel better. Or ‘I am enjoying this delicious food so I will eat plenty of it’ as opposed to trying to fill an emotional void.
And whilst it is possible to wrestle the behaviour to the ground and suddenly stop doing it without laying the emotional groundwork, the chances are that it will just be replaced by another ‘dysfunctional’ behaviour. The same applies to those who jump from relationship to relationship trying to fill the void of love. It’s looking for alignment in all the wrong places.
When you clear up the emotional basis and start to release any confidence, insecurity or anxiety issues, then if or when you reach for the food, substance or behaviour it will be for the experience and pleasure of it, not to try and compensate for feeling bad. In other words, the issue and the behaviour will dissipate, hence- it being an emotional not habitual issue. Chillout. You are good and perfect exactly as you are.
And you must realise you are powerful creator! You are more powerful than most anyone else you would know. Simply because the feeling of disconnection from Source is so painful to you that you need to reach for that extreme behaviour to bring you back into alignment.
But when you find that alignment in whichever way you can, you will be one of the most powerful creators you know and things will flow to you powerfully and surely like they never have done before. So just know that the worse you feel, the better it is on the other side. All is truly well here.
- Are drugs, smoking and alcohol bad?
No, not at all. Like all things, they are neither bad nor good, but in society and the media they are often judged by the actions carried out to obtain these. All these substances are, are tools to help you feel better and release resistance. As you start to introduce them to the system, the body reacts to assimilate it and over time the action of physically taking them, combined with the emotional response makes ‘coming off it’ harder. You begin to associate the substance with the feeling good/relief from feeling bad that it helps you experience.
However, when you can generate your alignment using the power of your mind, then alcohol or anything like that doesn’t need to be an uncontrollable addiction, it can be just a treat every so often. It is the life force flowing through you and the exhilaration that you crave. It is the same with most any type of addictive behaviour, you see the same gamblers day in and day out at the casinos because it gives them something to focus on, it gives them a reason for experiencing and being. The rush and hope of the good feeling generated by a big win draws them in. I doubt if many of them in their heart of hearts think that they will come out ahead by playing there day after day. Although I’m sure some might think they can win, the statistical edge the casino has inbuilt into their games makes this less than likely. Anyway, my point is, that it is not the actual action which is the issue but the reasons for the behaviour.
The benefit of drugs and alcohol is they help you release resistance. It is usually quite that simple. Meditation and appreciation are just as effective. All the tools are just ways to bring you into alignment. The only thing about drugs or alcohol is that the diffusion of resistance that they bring about, also affects your ability to focus into alignment. So it has a less polarizing effect on your vibration- your highs (so to speak!) aren’t as high but your lows aren’t as low. So it’s not possible to gain the clearest enlightenment or alignment with this diffusion of consciousness.
When you’re in control of your vibration, you dictate what you take and when you take it. However, when you’re out of alignment, fumbling around through life, then it can be very much the case that the substance is controlling you. And it’s from this lack of connection which gives you the impulse to need the drug all the time, which could eventually lead to theft, addiction etc. And that is what people are judging, and why the action and substance get associated with each and thrown into the same pile.

What about the media’s representation of body image?! Whilst it is true that movies, magazines and TV series do perpetuate the image of the tall, skinny, beautifully groomed hair and immaculate skin stars and starlets, it need not affect you in the slightest.
Abraham says words to the effect of: a million people could be (vibrationally) pushing against you but your energy need not be affected unless you push back. Likewise, the whole world and their dog could say that you need to be a certain way but unless you give them your attention, it will have no effect on your vibration.
Follow your inner guidance and let no one dictate to you how your life should be. Especially when it comes to your own body! However, you don’t want to look at the media in disdain because that is more pushing against. Instead, you want to appreciate those beautiful people in the media, you want to appreciate the beautiful people in your life and most of all, you want to appreciate the beautiful person in the mirror (i.e. yourself). In other words, don’t use anything as an excuse to block any good feelings.
You want to appreciate the beauty in all things around you. And beauty really is in the eye of the beholder, as you look across time and across the world, you will notice that the concept of beauty is ever-changing. Something as simple as a suntan has had varying connotations. Before the 1920s tanned skin was undesirable as only the working class spent time in the sun, whereas the rich women went out of their way to be as pale as possible. They even apparently put lead based cosmetics to make themselves appear whiter. However, nowadays, it is quite fashionable to have tanned skin with many resorting to fake tanning.
So my point here is that you cannot turn to society to dictate how you should look. Much like anything else, everyone has a different opinion and if you try to absorb what the status quo of beauty is, whilst being unappreciative of your own perfection at any point in time, this will block your energy to no end.
Do your best to love yourself exactly as you are and if you have goals for your body, then keep to these too but in a state of excitement and working towards. The media can be so fickle and if you use this to gauge how you want to be, you’ll forever be playing catch up. You’ll try to mould your body to follow this, then if it switches the next day, you’ll have to readjust it.
A baby is so pure in love and acceptance. See yourself through a baby’s eyes, they just stare at you and are having so much fun being physical. Do your best to look into your own eyes and feel your brilliance, both physical and mental, shine through. Set the tone that you want to hold and allow that to emanate from you and you will always feel and be perceived as beautiful.
