Anyways, I was reading an article on paying off debt and whilst possibly counterintuitive, it says- paying off the smallest balance first, had the biggest positive effect (instead of paying off equal sums on all cards). This is because it gave the individual the biggest sense of achievement and spurred them on to clear more.
The whole point of it, is to get some positive momentum on the way. Instead of dreading whatever it is you have to do, you probably would avoid it. Leading you to have to motivate yourself which is not great.
Instead, working from a place of inspiration- 'ooh I can't wait to pay this off, or do that exercise.' Is way better! As the study showed!
All is well!!!
Happy pay-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
