Jane Fonda was speaking about her career, her relationship with her legendary father and she was reflecting that her success came far too quickly.
In hindsight, she would've preferred things to have developed more slowly so she could really ground herself and grow over time within herself and with her acting training.
Most overnight success stories are a long time in the making, they were preceded by a myriad of failures which all contributed to the learning and growth of their skills.
The ideal state of creation is to be happy with what you have now and eager for more. It's a wonderful place of loving what's in your life, yet being excited about the next adventure.
Take it easy, try not to be too impatient and trust that you're divinely guided and led to where you need to be exactly when you need to be there!
