Today I had a lovely quick catch up with my newly wedded, kick ass (literally!) friend. Looking to expand her empire she is contemplating an events planning business. She commented that other people who have spoken to her have said that a great name to the company is vital. (Under 24-hour Removals? Lol, private joke!).
Anyhoo, whilst I agree that that is an important part. I did mention that the vibe, the intention behind it was infinitely more important (or at least it is so for me!). Because people will want to invest, not in you for the stuff that you do, but the person you are and how this filters through. Yes, Apple make great products, but the hype, the marketing and marketing events also adds to the desirability of what they have on offer.
When you have a clear intention, a pure vision and a belief in who you are and what you do, this will propel you to success faster and more consistently than a lot of other stuff.
As is what usually happens when I get on a roll. I wrote down a ton of things for her to consider. Most of which involved going out into the world, seeing what's there, what she do and don't like and basing her business on that.
And actually that's what we recommend in life! I'm a huge proponent of experience and trying new things. Go out into your world, work out what you like and don't like. Explore the magnificent of the diversity that is around you. You have a whole planet at your fingertips! How incredible is that. Go forth, work out your preferences, get into alignment then create what is your true desire.
After that I got to work and BOOM a wee bit o contrast with managers and customers which did not feel good! I mentally was like 'cannot wait til home time!' But I did catch myself. Part of my resolutions is to 'be here, now.' And not run off to a corner (mentally or physically!), as I can be so wont to do, little introverted me!
I am pleased to say (touch wood!), that after a nice conscious lunch break (watching Abraham, Louise Hay and Cheryl Richardson and a wee bit o meditation) I am pretty much back to me!
The Primacy-Recency effect in psychology states that events which happen first and most recent are what affect our memory most. But I was not going to let a rough shift wipe out a crammed week of fooking fantastic groups.
I am so glad to know what I know, to have all these tools at my disposal and to be so focused that feeling off is just now the most uncomfortable thing!
Tomorrow is parents, work then might see a late night movie- Avengers or Get Hard. As always, I will be using them to allow my mind to be absorbed, my vibration to rise and let all my good in (the movies, not my parents- I'm not that zen yet! Haha).
'What good lies ahead?' 'What good can come from this?' 'And I just know something bigger and better will spring from this contrast' are all fabulous well being phrases to remind yourself of!
Happy exploring!!!
All my love, Nick Xxx
