Abe gave some great advice on the Med cruise to a poor lady who was really looking to be hit with a stick of joy and knowingness! They told her to be 'satisfied in orneriness and eager for joy.' In other words, instead of beating yourself up for not being in the best place, be ok with where you are and be eager for happiness- anticipate the good feelings you can access.
Being happy and ok with where you are and expectant for more goodness is the fastest way to access what you want. And the slowest way to get there is to be hard on yourself and not like how things are in the moment.
