NAME OF PROCESS: Distraction
WHAT: This is a fun, simple technique by deliberately using distraction to get your mind off an issue which is troubling you. Choose something you really enjoy, that you can get sucked into and give your full attention to. Take your mind off the subject that is getting your negative attention and allow your vibration to rise by placing it elsewhere.
EXAMPLE: Pick your favourite song, album, movie, book, meal- anything that you enjoy and get sucked into. Carve out some undisturbed time to allow yourself to become fully immersed in it. Let your vibration naturally rise.
1 minute – transfer your attention to something else right in front of you
5 minutes – let you mind wander and contemplate something pleasing
15 minutes+ – immerse yourself in dancing, a positive YouTube clip, a movie or television show
WHY: Sometimes life can be too much and trying to reach for something positive is nigh impossible. This removes your attention from what is not working and places it on something you find enjoyable. Your vibration rises and you can allow your wellness in. Feel as good as you can whilst doing this.
