NAME OF PROCESS: Segment Intending
WHAT: As you go about your day, it is naturally broken up into various segments. What you are doing here is stating an intention as to how you would like that experience to unfold. Before you enter into at least one situation you simply energetically set into motion about how you would like it to be.
EXAMPLE: 10am Meeting with team. I would like this meeting to go quickly and easily. I want to speak confidently and powerfully. I want to leave feeling inspired. I would like to find a comfortable seat and arrive calm and collected etc.
1 minute – before you go into something, briefly intend how you would like it to go
5 minutes – midway through the day, intend how you would like the next few hours to go
15 minutes – first thing in the morning, intend how you would like the day or even week to go. You can also do this before you go to sleep
WHY: As we whizz around our day, it’s easy to get sucked into the busyness of it all. We rush into a situation that ends up not going well and then we try to fix it midway, by which time it’s already taken too much effort and energy to try to turn it around. With this tool you are simply telling the Universe – ‘I’d like this next experience to unfold in this way, this way and like this please!’
