It's a little of this and a little of that today. Hence the tapas/dim sum reference! Lol.
I read a blog about someone taking a 7 day detox, not from food but from complaning! It was quite interesting, because you have to increase your awareness (which we're always looking to increase) and stop letting negativity out of your mouth. She was trying to not get drawn into those conversations with her friends- you know the ones! When you talk about what's wrong with the world and bitch about other people you know. Anyhoo, at the end of the week, after much self control, she felt a lot better, although she did miss complaining just a tid bit. She realised that there was a difference between havin a bit of a moan and really griping on and on about something.
But that's a really cool thing to try! Try going 7 days without complaning (or even a day!) and just catch yourself. I don't think I complain too much (although I can do, especially if tired or hungry lol!) but it probably would serve me greatly. Another author recommends that you record your phone conversations to your friends and playing it back to yourself to see what you're saying.
The Universe is responding to your vibrations, so whatever you can do to put yourself in a positive space will serve you greatly!
It's like a food detox diet, the first few days are always the toughest, but once you're over the hump, it does get easier!
So try it! And see how good you will feel!
Moving on swiftly, I read a lovely story that Ronaldo (the famous footballer) was being interviewed by a young Japanese fan who was trying to speak Portuguese but was being laughed at by the journalists in the same room. Ronaldo defended the young chap in front of everyone. I'm not overly fussed about these celeb personalities but it's a nice story!
Whilst it's not your job to defend or protect anyone else. If so inspired then do whatever good you can, in the way you see fit. And how anyone reacts to it is really none of your business...
It reminds me of a story- I was in the Apple Store replacing a wire. One of the staff was dealing with a customer who wasn't getting the message. He repeated to her so many times that there was nothing he could do for her as the systems were down but she kept going on. I cut in the conversation, thinking I was helping the shop assistant but he had a go at me for doing so. Haha! So the message I got from that was just be you and just do your thang and let anyone else's reactions go, because they do not know your motivations and vice verse.
That's the message, do whatever you can to stay aware and doing your little bit of good in the world and let everyone go!!! Let em goooo!
Happy helping!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
