One response they came up with was everyone could be a winner if they were to focus on the goodies. The actual winner can appreciate their win and the others can turn their attention to the Step 1 they've been doing- the asking and the things they've learned on the way.
It may not be as satisfying but there are always things to be gained in any situation...
And on the other hand, if you won at every single game you ever played you would soon get bored and look for another game and/or seek out more powerful opponents.
There is little else satisfying than putting in the time and effort to get your goal and that moment of closing the gap and experiencing your desires- that is the very nature of life. If you got everything, all the time, without any trying, life would be very boring! On the other hand, life shouldn't be a constant struggle either.
You want a fine balance between wanting something, giving the space to allow it and then experiencing it.
