The ability to direct one's attention, focus and emotions towards pleasing things, which bring a sense of peace, calm and confidence is a skill that is ever more needed in this fast paced world! With all the 'books, 'grams, 'chats and apps out there, it can feel that you're constantly 'on' and under scrutiny to put your best self forward all the time.
And being led by other people's perceptions of you is ultimately going to drive you nuts because you can't please all of them, all of the time!
The ability to tune into self and make a conscious effort to stop that spiral of negativity is such an important life skill. A lot of mental disorders are linked to that helpless overwhelment and lack of self care, but by using tools such as: mindfulness, meditation and positivity, to catch it in the early stages, you can save yourself a lot of bother.
It just takes practise and consciousness!
