I can't say I've been that sharp on mine, although one of mine was to enjoy more nephew time and the Universe has definitely aligned me with that!
I think it's important to have regular reminders of things you'd like to achieve. Whether that be huge life goals or simple emotional ones.
Life, children, work, stress, it all can get in the way and detract from your wellbeing. And it's usually when something knocks you off, that you rejig and try to align.
Instead, try to keep things easier. It's nice to have a daily routine or little practises that you can turn to, to raise your spirits and align with self.
Maybe stick a few post-its on the wall with go goals and dreams, make a vision board. Do what you can to keep your mind on track.
