I was watching a BBC programme following around the bookies and gamblers. It was really interesting. Betting seems to have become a part of their blood. It is actually a lot less to do with the money than the thrills and spills and adrenaline rush.
Anyways, they were filming the manager of a successful branch who was transferred to the branch literally down the road which was performing well under what it should. As he went round cleaning and tidying, he said it was all about creating the 'good vibes' and the atmosphere. Because consciously or unconsciously, you become sensitive to your surroundings and you'll want to go to a place for the fun vibes- the friendly staff, the other great customers. If you're feeling unsafe, on edge and generally uneasy, then you're not going to want to visit that branch. Especially if there is another one just a few steps away! As it happens, he pulled in a ton of money for the struggling branch once he'd worked his magic.
The other chap they followed was a serious gambler- he wrote a column and provided betting tips for people to follow. He had been quite successful, winning several tens of thousands of pounds in a matter of days (though who knows if he was up in the longer term!). Anyhoo, he was showing the camera crew round his flat and he had his posters of his fave sports players all over the place. He said it was how he kept inspired and in a positive mind frame.
So isn't that interesting! You can find the same thread of being through all disciplines (and un-disciplines)!
You came for the thrills, the rush of being alive.
Have fun with this!
Happy vibe-ing!!!
