The magnificent Hannah Fry was presenting a show about flying and avionics. She was covering aviophobia- the fear of flying. Incidentally a lot of airlines hold courses to help those get over it. And one of the techniques they used was tapping/EFT- I was very impressed- I thought that would be too fluffy a technique to adopt.
Anyhoo, she comments that to a degree she realises why they would be afraid and in fact, it's quite amazing that most of us have got our head around the miracle that is flying. Being in the middle of the sky at 35,000 feet, with a couple of wings, engines and a fuselage is insane when you think about it!
And when you step back, it is quite a feat. Time ago, this would've been so far beyond the wildest dreams of many, it would've been deemed impossible. But there were those who were undeterred, those who refused to give in but instead chose to forge ahead with their dream for flight travel. And now it's as common as anything, with hundreds of thousands of flights and with millions of people up in the air at any point in time.
It makes me wonder if/when instant teleportation would be available- it seems insane and unfathomable at the moment, but it could happen!
Appreciate all that is possible in this day and age. All the good that surrounds you. It truly is incredible!
