Stacey Dooley has made a mini BBC series on sexuality in 'strange places'- the countries in which the subject might be a little more out there than others.
One of the countries she covers is Russia- a real mish mash of cultures and beliefs- the old schoolness of the Russian Orthodox Church with the modern wilder influence of the western world.
She got to speak to a number of workers in the adult industry, some obviously had quite harrowing experiences and others who were doing incredibly well for themselves.
Stacey was interviewing a girl who was entering the industry for the first time and she told Stacey 'I think the most important thing is how you see yourself. Because there are countless opinions out there, it's best to stick to your own truth no matter what others think.'
Such wise words from someone so young and green! Whether she really believed them or not remains to be seen but there is no doubt the weightyness of the wisdom shared there.
And that is usually the case for those who have been pushed by life to expand beyond the scope of most of us. They have to have that strong sense of self because they've had to face such adversity, it's sink or swim!
Develop a strong sense of mind and self because it will serve you so well. Do your best to focus on good feeling things and know your goodness, no matter what anyone else out there may say!
