It went along the lines of them saying that they had a friend who went to school with two of The Beatles but the music teacher didn't realise they had any talent whatsoever. Two members of arguably one of the most famous bands in history and the teacher didn't get it. Part of is that people don't always get it, they don't always get you but you just have to be persistent.
If you are passionate about something, follow it in whichever way you can and never give up. It's a short life!
How interesting, but I also think a number of record labels turned down The Beatles, as did a number of publishers turn down Harry Potter as did many who rejected the life changing classic 'Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway.' I think I read that one of the rejections said that 'If Princess Diana flogged this book naked on a horse, no one would read it.'
History is littered with rejections where someone thought there was no value to something, but it consequently went on to take over the world.
You have to believe in you and not take rejection or failure too personally and knock you out of the game. I have done so many things in life where I've been completely sheet at! But you just have to dust yourself off and move on. To know your value is the most important thing ever! Keep believing and dreaming and follow your passion!
All is well!!!
Happy Beatle-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
