I'm at a bit of a loose end for December with some annual leave I need to take and not sure what to do with myself- probably for the first time in history! By then I would've had two long breaks away so not looking to go anywhere major. And for some reason there's no decent rooms available for hire as I was thinking of doing an extra workshop (though this may change...)
Anyhoo, I was looking into some winter sun short breaks and Faro, Algarve came up. It is redonkulously cheap- under £150 for flights and hotel and such which!
I wanted somewhere fairly sunny, I'm not a huge beach person, but whilst it's cold in the UK I didn't want to go somewhere freezing.
What struck me as quite funny when I was researching was that the weather sites were saying 15-20 degrees is a fair average of the weather. And locals would be wrapped up nice and tight, whereas us Brits would be in shorts and T shirts!
Life is all relative! Obviously it's part of what you're used and how you're raised but it's also focus and seeing what you want to see. A rainy day could be an annoyance or it could be a wonderful blessing or as Louise Hay 'It's not a terrible day, just a wet day.' It's all about perspective!
