I'm far less likely to do what I can to play someones tune when I'm djing if they're rude or critical, whereas if they ask nicely and even throw in a compliment then I'm all yours- not only will I play your song (if it's suitable) I will also look for things which are similar which I think you'd like. A win-win!
Be conscious of your beliefs, silly things that you might say 'money doesn't grow on trees, good things like that don't happen to people like us, I'll never find someone etc.'
Reject anything that doesn't feel good or support what you'd like to live.
