I spent most of the day asleep as I was working last night. I didn't make it to The Apprentice audition which was this afternoon- I needed to rest! Plus my sources (well, my sister) informed me that there were just long queues of people there last week and I didn't feel like spending my time waiting around for a 30 second audition! Lol.
Anyhoo, I came across an interesting book in the library- 'Fooled by randomness' by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. It's premise is that we attribute success and fortune down to skill, whereby a lot of it is down to randomness. It's an interesting view on life.
With the Law Of Attraction school of thought however, we don't believe anything is random. That everything and everyone is vibrating at a certain frequency and that all that occurs is a result of like-for-like vibrations playing out.
This for me, is a more empowering way of living. To know that I have control over what I think and feel and therefore what comes to me, it wayyy more life-giving than to be told that it's all a shot in the dark what happens in life.
And who is right?! Well, we will never know for sure. All you can do is pick a school of thought that resonates with you and do your best to live it.
I believe you create your own 'luck.' Richard Wiseman has done studies on this and found that when he did an experiment- he had a newspaper with an ad saying 'STOP the experiment, you have won some money!' The 'lucky' people more often than not, won the money than the 'unlucky' who skipped straight past it. Same ad, same type of people, just different perception.

Anyways, like I said, who knows what is true? Everyone will create their own truth and find stories and circumstances to back up their theory. Those who believe the world is doomed and bad will perpetuate that and seek corners of the globe where this is rife. Others who believe that all is well, will ultimately seek and create this.
I just ask you- 'Is what you're believing making you happy?'
Happy believing!!! Lots of love, Nick Xxx
