I was reminiscing about the mischief I got up to whilst in secondary school and boy was it funny! A vivid memory flashed through my mind.
Being the cheeky devil I was, I was on my way home with one of my best friends when I grabbed his sandwich (I think I probably sneaked into his rucksack and stole it!). I was running down the street and he caught me and obviously tried to pull it back from my grasp! Moments later a truck which was driving past, slowed down and the driver proceeded to scream at my friend 'Oi, give it back to him!' He protested but the driver was insistent.
So begrudgingly he handed over the sandwich to which the driver quite happily zoomed off and I had to sheepishly hand it back... Now to the outside eye it looked like the motorist did quite the justice thing- I was a shrimpy little kid and some tall school thug was prying a sandwich from my grip but obviously to those involved it was quite the opposite!
Now, this doesn't mean to not intercede when you feel the need, especially if you're a brave, kindly person. But when it comes to life, you generally can't know exactly what's going on for anyone. Everyone has their own perspective and their own way of living. Your job isn't to understand why someone is the way they is, but your job is to stay in alignment with your dream and what's calling you forward in life.
Parents want the best for their kids (usually), partners want the best for their partners (in most cases), but who really knows what's 'best' other than the individual themselves?!
Instead trust in the overarching well being of your loved ones, know that all is well for all of us. It is not your job to save anything or anyone. It is your job to follow your bliss, to get in that good feeling space and then take action. The positivity of that which goes on on this planet is beyond measure and the not well being is a mere fraction of all that is.
Happy sandwich-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
