Mr McIntyre has just completed his Christmas special and second series of his variety show on BBC and it is funny! It's a mix of different segments- some of his trademark observational humour, 'send to all' message- where a celeb gets a funny message sent to all their contacts and other bits including 'surprise star'- making a singer's dream come true by letting them perform on a stage to an audience.
What strikes me is how innocent and innocuous the whole is. No swearing, nudity, sex, mean insults to others or anything! And yet it smashes the ratings which is lovely to see. In this day and age where we are so desensitised to violence, sex and all sorts, it's really refreshing to see something positive and light!
Reach for upliftment and positivity as much as you can, because it does wonders for the soul- they call it 'feel good programming' for a reason!
Do more to watch and surround yourself with things that make you laugh and have fun. It's good for the soul and your physiology!
