Thank you HYLE-ers!!! What an amazing afternoon we all had together! Leading edge techniques, tools and discussions to take our consciousness and beingness to new levels!!!
Today, Nina covered Mindfulness:
She opened with a demo of her wonderful juggling skills- which represented the train of thought that we can get stuck in. And highlighting the fact that you can change it. Jump on a different train and change it to a positive thought.
Mindfulness has different layers- being aware, observing and noticing your feeling. Be in the third person, looking in as you make the changes from this new viewpoint.
She then led a most delicious chocolate meditation. We had a Malteser in our mouth and just held it there. It helped us be aware of our bodily sensations and draw us into the moment.
We then covered neuroplasticity- which is the creation of neuron pathways which make our beliefs. For example when learning a language, the more you practise the easier it gets because of the mental pathways.
Once you observe what you're doing, this is when you can change the story of your life and what you're creating. So just get out there and do it now! No time like the present.
Kristina then led her session on values and beliefs.
- Identify your values. A value is what is important to you. It's a good idea to know what yours are as they are part of your motivations. It's also very helpful to try and work out what others' are- this provides you with a 'map' of their world and can provide great empathy if they are acting out or being a big old beat-ch!
List your top 10 values. Then your main five then whittle it down to your most important.
When you reflect on this, look at how it fits in with your goals as this will align with your action. Or notice if there is misalignment in your values and actions. This will show you what's flowing and what's not.
Beliefs- as noted by Anthony Robbins- the most important belief you will ever hold is about yourself.
Beliefs lead to feelings which lead to behaviours. Changing your beliefs can change your life. Write down some positive and negative beliefs you have about yourself.
Then carry out a review. What evidence do you have about your positive beliefs about yourself? Look for as many things to support this view.
Now look at the negative beliefs. What is it costing you on a daily basis? If you believe this world is unsafe, then you'll go round guarded, not willing to interact with all the wonderful people who could cross your path. And how wonderful would life be if you can change it?
She asked us to write down our beliefs in relation to a variety of subjects. Then to go through each one and ask if we'd like to change it. Does it serve us?
Maria covered some of Louise Hay key points of philosophy.
- What you send you out you get back. Key tenet of all things here. Life will reflect to you what is going on inside of you.
- Our thoughts create. A thought is like a drop of water. The more drops of water, the bigger it become until before you know it, it becomes a river!
- The morning is one of the most powerful points of the day. Maria makes sure she is grateful and happy before she even gets out of bed.
- We are worthy of love. And self approval and acceptance are key to positive change.
- An affirmation is a thought, which creates a feeling, which is sent out to the Universe. Which is subsequently brought into our lives by experiences.
- Forgiveness opens the door to love. When we don't forgive we take on the victim role, but this is powerless. But now you can move to a more empowered state. No one can make you feel anything unless you give them the power to.
- Love is the most powerful energy in the Universe.
- Do it now! Don't wait until you've lost the weight, got the job etc. And if it's too soon and too difficult, then just preface it with 'I am willing...' When you do this with an open heart. The Universe will support you wholeheartedly!
Thank you for a most fabulous, loving, uplifting afternoon. We look forward to working with you again!!!
All is well!!!
Happy HYLE-ing!!!
