One compelling thing about those reality TV competitions is the journey of growth you see in the participants. Some of them really exceed their expectations of what they can accomplish and they are all the better for it.
The challenges set and their learning curve is insane, especially when you realise how much they actually have to do in the hours and days that they are given to complete each task.
It's easy to sit at home and judge them and think you'd do a better job but I'm pretty certain it's a lot harder than it appears on the television!
It's the mixing it up and the powerful focus that these things draw through the contestants that is phenomenal. And a number of people who didn't come win their competitions still went on to outdo those who came first!
