Today was San Fran and what an amazing place it is. Very reminiscent of New York for me with a touch more rustiqueness! There's always a feeling of exhilaration of being in a new place with just a dash of trepridation! It is however, always taking you above and beyond to be in a new situation, calling more from you and loving it! Tomo is Seattle...
So, a few weeks ago, I did one of those puzzle room breakout things and man was it fun! The physicality of looking round the room for clues and trying to work out what went where and so on- it was really quite satisfying. Whoever came up with it must've been a bit of genius, because it was complex, so much so an hour wasn't enough and we didn't complete it!
You're brought into a mission room with, in our case, 12 people, with tons of bits and pieces around the place, and you all have to work together to solve the puzzles, codes and all that stuff! I loved it!
Being an independent introvert, I've always been a one to champion being able to jiggle solo but due to the complexity, I doubt a single person would be able to get a fraction of what everyone did together!
Some would be quick at deciphering, others at spotting bits around the room and so on.
That's a part of what I love about our groups. Everyone has their up and down days but it is sometimes just so nice to have some positive people to lift you up. A reassuring word such as 'I know you can do it!' Or 'I've been there and this worked for me.' Can be a literally life saver!
Over the years I've heard people say that they've felt alone because they don't have anyone to speak to about woo woo. I kinda take it for granted as I've got some great friends and all the groups. But some of my other interests (film music and such which), I don't really know anyone, so things like Facebook and YouTube are cool to connect with others!
