As Abraham says, there is so much well being on this magnificent planet. It's just a wee bit unfortunate that most of us tune into the not-well being that surrounds us, be it in our lives or on our TV screens via the news. Abe jokingly say that to collate the news we go round to each corner of the globe, collect all the bad news and then put it to music!
But if you do your own exploration of this planet, you will find what you want to see. There is so much harmony, beauty and brilliance to appreciate on this Earth, it is truly great. Make it your mission to focus on the good- for no other reason than that it feels good to you!
Two people can be waking down the very same street, one could be in rapturous joy, the other could be in complete misery- same street, just two completely different perspectives. And there's nothing inherently wrong with either- it's just pick the perspective that serves you.
This little analogy is soooo true. On this holiday, we have many shows to choose from (all of which are free), so you can see and pop your head into any of them. Afterwards, when I speak to people it's funny to hear completely polarised reactions- 'Oh that show was so wonderful!' to 'Worst show ever!' You definitely cannot please all the people all the time. Instead just do your best to carve out what works for you and give that your pure focus.
Today was spent in UNESCO heritage site- Halong Bay, it was beautiful to see. A collection of 1,969 islet type thingys! We did a boat tour and a walk through the caves. It was beautiful hiking up and around them. Sailing through these beautiful wonders, it is easy to see the well being all around us.
So your task is to look around at all there is to appreciate in your immediate surroundings. Do it now! I'm definitely more of a city person and I do love a modern, clean city but being connected to nature is also incredibly awe inspiring.
Set your tone to the highest well being you can create within your mind!!! All is so very well. You can make that difference.
I'll leave you with a quote from Cloud Atlas- Jim Sturgess' father in law challenges him to what difference can he make to the abolition (anti slavery) movement?
'You are just one drop in the ocean'
To which Jim's character replies:
'What is an ocean, but a multitude of drops?'
Happy now-appreciating!!!
