I was enjoying clips from Oprah's Masterclass featuring Whoopi Goldberg and loving her in Ghost- an absolute scene stealer she was!
In one of her interviews she was talking about how she started off. She had created a one woman show which didn't start off very well. A couple of people in the audience, but one of them wrote a good review, then over time more and more people began to attend.
Fast forward many years and she's one of the most recognisable females in comedy, but she had to start somewhere!
As do we all! It actually reminded me of the scenes in La La Land where Emma Stone performs her one woman show and barely anyone turns up, she can't even pay back the theatre for the room hire!
But, an agent sees her work, believes in her to let her audition for the film they're making and bam- she's a star.
You just have to keep pursuing your dreams no matter what and you never know what will hit. It's all the work before that that leads up to it. Just keep going and believing in your passions!
