Different things will work for you at different times. When you're in the right space you'll hear what you need to hear and implement it accordingly.
It was about ten year ago when I was in the hot seat with Abe, they heavily emphasised to 'get in the Vortex and then...' I heard the advice but wasn't able or willing to apply it for whatever reason but some ten years later I am really implementing it and completely understand what they mean by this.
If I'm out of alignment then I'll try not to do any major tasks, instead, waiting until I'm in an emotionally stable place (if I can) and then moving forward. And the manifestations follow forth.
So be easy about it. It is tempting to beat yourself over the head about not doing something you believe will be beneficial, but just be kind to yourself and know that when the time is right, you'll do what you need to do when you need to do it.
