So my week in Scotland and Newcastle was an absolute blast. Had the greatest time. Not ever having been to any of these places before I like to find out as much as I can before I go. It just makes good sense to me! So I googled, oogled and asked as many people as I could about what to expect. Some of what I read and heard was spot on and other bits I didn't really agree with.
As always, it shows me the diverse opinions and viewpoints there are in the world. So, my advice is to go out into the world, data collect and plan, but at the end of the day trust your gut and form your own opinions. Having said that, I know other people who don't like researching and planning and prefer to just wing it and trust in the grand design.
But bottom line- trust your gut and make up your own mind. Everyone has their own life experiences, preferences and what not.
I know some love to explore the beauty of the countryside, I prefer a buzzing city where there is plenty to do and lots of potential people to connect with.
Remember, no one gets to decide what makes you happy and floats your boat. And ignore any judgements they may make about your choices. Also, don't try to convince anyone of anything and I wouldn't bother getting into a mode of trying to explain or defend yourself.
We are all unique and meant to be that way. Revel in the diversity.
All is well!
Happy data collect-ing!!!
Lots of love, Nick Xxx
